Raveena Tandon Announces Her Second Web-Series, To Star Alongside Akshaye Khanna

Akshaye Khanna and Raveena Tandon featured in JP Dutta's war drama LOC Kargil, however, they did not have any scenes together.

Raveena Tandon in Legacy:  Raveena Tandon and Akshaye Khanna are set to share screen space in upcoming series Legacy. The actors have been cast opposite each other for the very first time. The series will be helmed by Vijay Gutte, best know for Anupam Kher starrer The Accidental Prime Minister, which also featured Khanna.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and shared a few glimpses of the script reading sessions where the actors and the director were present. He wrote that the shooting of the series will start by the end of this year.

Tandon and Khanna both featured in JP Datta's 2003 war drama LOC Kargil, however, they didn't have any scenes together.

Announcing the project from her Instagram handle, the Mohra actor wrote, "Immensely happy to announce my next web series LEGACY. Will be sharing the screen with Akshaye Khanna for the first time."

Talking about the project and how interesting the story is, Tandon said that the series is a "tale of power struggle" with an engaging drama in the backdrop. She also revealed that the series is a fine work of "articulated" content interestingly conveyed to resonate with a global audience. "I am excited to be associated with the show and looking forward to beginning this journey,” she added.

"Feeling completely energetic to work again," Khanna stated, adding that the crew is "cognizant" of the immense responsibility to deliver the best content piece the audience looks forward to. "I'm glad Legacy is going to be my first web series," Khanna said.

Tandon will be officially making her OTT debut as a cop in Netflix’s Aranyak. Set in Himachal Pradesh this thriller will also feature Ashutosh Rana. She will also be seen portraying the role of Ramika Sen in KGF: Chapter 2.
