Raveena Tandon Making Her Web Debut As A Cop With Netflix's Upcoming Thriller Aranyak

Netflix has today unveiled 15 Indian series for the year 2021 and has signed Tandon for a "mysterious, intriguing" supernatural crime thriller based in Himachal. Talking about her character, Tandon shared, “Aranyak is a mysterious, intriguing story based in Himachal. My character’s name is Kasturi Dogra. Kasturi struggles to balance her personal and professional life, like many women. This is her story.”

Aranyak is a production of Roy Kapur Films and is directed by Rohan Sippy of Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors. Though more details on Tandon's character in the series haven't been revealed yet, Tandon, who recently completed 30 glorious years in Bollywood, took to her Instagram handle and teased fans by sharing, "My attempt at Tudum is Tan-don! Ab Ek crime-thriller extra suspense ke saath pack kar do?"

Late last year, Tandon made headlines when it was announced that in the upcoming show she will be portraying a never-attempted-before character. It has also been reported that the web series is a female-centric thriller. She has already started shooting for her debut web-series in Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh.

Tandon, one of the top Bollywood actors of the ’90s, is best known for her films Mohra, Andaz Apna Apna, Laadla, Dulhe Raja, Shool, Aks, Daman, Satta and Maatr. According to multiple reports, the show is one of the four projects, with a female protagonist at its centre, written by 45-year-old actor Tandon for the web streaming platform. She has been busy developing a series based on multiple personality disorder, a contemporary drama and a continuation project to her 2017 release Maatr.

Besides this project, Tandon will be playing a pivotal part in the much-awaited KGF: Chapter 2.
