After the first round of votes in the 2022 presidential elections were counted on Thursday, Droupadi Murmu of the NDA is in the lead. Murmu received 540 of the 748 votes cast by MPs, while Yashwant Sinha of the opposition received 208. Following the start of the vote-counting process at the Parliament House on Thursday morning for the recently held Presidential election, India will soon know who will replace Ram Nath Kovind as the nation’s 15th President.

If she is elected president of India, Droupadi Murmu will receive a monthly salary of almost Rs 5 lakh. The highest-paid individual in India is the President. The President used to receive a salary of Rs. 150,000; however, the monthly payment was raised to Rs 5,00,000. The salary is not increased by additional allowances. President Ram Nath Kovind claimed two years ago that while he receives a salary of Rs. 5 lakh, a sizable portion of it is deducted as income tax.

Droupadi Murmu’s official address will be Rashtrapati Bhawan, President’s Estate, New Delhi, Delhi 110004. The Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Viceroy of India’s residence, was constructed in 1929. The president’s residence, guest rooms, and various offices are among its 340 rooms. Also present are numerous gardens. Additionally, the President of India has two retreat options: Rashtrapati Nilayam in Hyderabad and The Retreat Building at Mashobra, Shimla.

The President typically travels in upscale cars which also have cutting-edge security measures. The car is both shockproof and bulletproof. According to reports, the car is resistant to explosives like gas, bombs, and gunfire.
