If she is elected president of India, Droupadi Murmu will receive a monthly salary of almost Rs 5 lakh. The highest-paid individual in India is the President. The President used to receive a salary of Rs. 150,000; however, the monthly payment was raised to Rs 5,00,000. The salary is not increased by additional allowances. President Ram Nath Kovind claimed two years ago that while he receives a salary of Rs. 5 lakh, a sizable portion of it is deducted as income tax.
