Actor Preity Zinta embraced motherhood last year after when and her spouse, Gene Goodenough became parents to two children born via surrogacy. On Friday, Zinta shared heartwarming posts on her social media account as her children marked their first birthday.

The actor and her spouse welcomed their twin children through surrogacy in 2021 and named them Gia and Jay. The couple celebrated their kids' first birthday today.

On November 11 2021, Zinta and Goodenough, who are based in the United States, became parents to twins born through surrogacy. Their children, a boy and a girl, were named Jay and Gia respectively.

On Friday, Zinta took to her social media to share two adorable posts, dedicated to her daughter and son respectively, on the occasion of their birthday, expressing her love for them.

Sharing the photo of her son Jay, Zinta wrote in the caption how being a mother has by far been the best role of her life she played and that he is a miracle of love for her. "Of all roles, I have played in my life, nothing comes close to that of being your mother. I’m sure we have known each other for many lives. In this one, I cannot stop wondering how much love we will share ahead with each other," she wrote, adding how her heart fills up looking at him every day.

Sharing an adorable photo of her daughter next, Zinta expressed how she had both prayed and longed for her and, now, that it has been a year, she couldn't be more grateful for the blessing she received in the form of Gia.

The actor added that she was grateful for her daughter's "precious smiles" and "warm hugs" and their presence in her life.

Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough exchanged vows on February 9, 2017, in the United States. The couple later got married in a traditional Indian ceremony in Himachal Pradesh, Zinta's native state.
