Potluck Series: Cast, Release Date And All The Details You Should Know About Its Release

Potluck series: Directed by Rajshree Ojha family-comedy series Potluck will be releasing this week. Aside of its interesting premise, the series is in news for features some renowned film and theatre actors. The trailer of Potluck launched on Aug 12 and has garnered five million views on YouTube so far.

Potluck series cast

Potluck stars actors Kitu Gidwani, Shikha Talsania, Ira Dubey, Jatin Sial, and Cyrus Sahukar in the lead roles. The series also features Harman Singha, Saloni Khanna and Sidharth Karnick. Sahukar plays the role of Vikrant Shastri, a laid-back son of the Shastri family whose unusual choices bother his parents. Ira Dubey will be essaying the role of Vikrant's wife, Akansha, a mother of three children desirous of having a balanced life. Shikha Talsania will be essaying the role of Prerna, the daughter of the Shastris. Jatin Sial and Kitu Gidwani will portray the role of the Shastri couple, who are parents to three grown-up children.

The cast sharing their experiences

Sharing her experience of working on the series, actor Ira Dubey said in an interview, "Families are weird. They are quirky, messy beautiful, but above all, they're full of love." When the makers of the show approached her with the concept and a wonderful writing as well as a stellar star cast, she couldn't say no. She said that it was a pleasure for her to be a part of the family that celebrated the little joys and sorrows and "revealed their skeletons" over a potluck.

"The making of 'Potluck' has been an incredible experience for me," revealed actor-VJ Cyrus Sahukar. He further elaborated that the narrative of the show is the collective beauty that people with diverse thoughts and ideas bring out, even after being a part of the same community. Sahukar added that the diversity made our lives fascinating and fun.

Potluck will be releasing on Friday, Sep 10 on SonyLIV. Any person with a valid subscription of the OTT platform can stream it from the said date.
