Actor Jeetendra Kumar Hints At 'Panchayat' Season 3; Will The Series Return?

Panchayat Season 2 is currently making waves among audiences, having been broadcast on an OTT streaming platform and receiving positive feedback from fans and critics. After a successful first season, Amazon Prime Video decided to bring it back. The wildly popular series features a slew of great actors who have completely nailed their roles and earned a place in the hearts of viewers. The series features Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Chandan Roy, Faisal Malik, Sanvikaa, Satish Ray, Sunita Rajwar, Subendhu Chakraborty, and Shrikant Verma.

Season 2 sees the cast reprise their roles with other guest appearances. The plot shows how Kumar's Abhishek has now settled well into the rural life and how he braves through each issue coming his way in the series. Meanwhile, Bhushan, aka Barakas (Durgesh Kumar), tries to interfere with the panchayat's functioning. He wants his wife, Pintu's mother (Sunita Rajwar), to contest for Pradhan in the next election.

Panchayat Season 2 was originally scheduled to air on May 20, however, the series was already available to stream on the platform as of late Wednesday evening, May 18, 2022, much to the delight of the audience. Panchayat Season 2 is comprised of eight episodes, each lasting 35 minutes.

The second season of Panchayat is plenty of laughs, but the final episode is emotional. The characters, performances by actors, and the storyline have been favourably received by the viewers, who are now eagerly anticipating Panchayat Season 3 to see whether Pradhan Ji and Manju Devi will win the elections.

Panchayat Season 3 Details:

Season 2 of Panchayat has also set the stage for a third season for those looking forward to it. The third season of Panchayat was clearly set up at the end of Season 2, as in the post-credit sequence, Manju and Rinki receive the letter detailing Abhishek's transfer. The open ending of Season 2 indicates that the popular series may be continued.

Furthermore, in a recent interview with the Free Press Journal India, Jitendra Kumar gave a few indications regarding Panchayat season 3. He talked about the second season, saying that he thinks the viewers will love season two as well, owing to its accelerating situations and the intriguing storyline.

He added, "During the first season, people were free and had time to sit and watch many series. We received loads of love and hope that this time they will also take some time for us. We are hoping for Panchayat season three as well."  These might be direct hints for a third season, but the Panchayat's makers have yet to comment.
