Olympian Sprinter Dutee Chand To Participate In Dance Reality Show

Indian athlete Dutee Chand is set to compete against the stellar line-up of celebrity contestants in the dance reality show. Dutee Chand last competed in Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in August 2022.

Dutee Chand is taking on a new challenge, but this time she will be competing in an intense dance battle with her choreographer Ravina on the dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10' on Colors TV.

Indian athlete Dutee Chand is set to compete against the stellar line-up of celebrity contestants in the dance reality show. Dutee Chand last competed in Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in August 2022.

Chand on participation expressed her gratitude and said, "I've never imagined myself performing different dance forms and competing against such stellar performers. Having said that, as a sportsperson, I love taking on new challenges that are thrown at me," as per a report.

Speaking about her new experience, Chand added, "I am used to performing in front of live viewers, but this is going to be a new experience altogether. Learning any new art form is not easy but with the help of my choreographer, I am excited to take this up as a challenge and perform to the best of my capabilities."

Chand thanked the platform for putting their trust in her and asked for support from fans and the audience in her exciting new endeavour.

Bollywood producer Karan Johar, actors Nora Fatehi and Madhuri Dixit will judge the new season of the dance show. The television actors Nia Sharma, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Niti Taylor, Ali Asgar, and Paras Kalnawat will also join the olympian athlete in the dance championship.

Dutee Chand is an Indian professional sprinter and national champion in the women's 100 metres event. Chand is the first Indian to win a gold medal in a 100m race in a global competition. The sprinter is the third Indian woman to qualify for the Women's 100 metres event at the Summer Olympic Games. Presently, Chand is employed as an executive officer in the state PSU The Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd.
