Navarasa Release Date and Time: Navarasa, which means nine emotions, is a nine-film mega-anthology that'll have an OTT release this week. Veteran director Mani Ratnam has collaborated with film director Jayendra Panchapakesan for this project which is an initiative to support cinema workers who have been severely hit by the pandemic and reportedly, none of the actors and directors have charged any remuneration for their work in the show.

The mega-series scripts nine shorts, each depicting a distinct human emotion - compassion, romance, laughter, wonder, valour, anger, fear, disgust, and peace. The nine episodes have been directed by nine different directors such as Arvind Swami, Sarjun KM, Rathindran Prasad, Bejoy Nambiar, Karthick Naren, Priyadarshan, Karthik Subbaraj, Vasanth and Gautham Vasudev Menon.
Navarasa also happens to be a collaboration of ace cinematographers like Santosh Sivan, Sreyas Krishna, PC Sreeram, Abhinandhan Ramanujam, Manoj Paramahamsa, and Balasubramaniam, among many others. Exceptional music composers like AR Rahman, Aruldev, Govind Vasantha, D Imman, Karthik, Ghibran, Ron Ethan Yohann, and Justin Prabhakaran have come together for this upcoming Tamil anthology.
Ahead of its release, the creators have released the posters of the nine segments which form the anthology. So now lets look into each segment and the emotion it represents.
Edhiri - Compassion
Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, Edhiri has Vijay Sethupathi, Revathi, Prakash Raj and Ashok Selvan in the lead roles.
Roudhram marks the directorial debut of Arvind Swami. The central characters of the segment have been portrayed by Geetha Kailasam, Abhinayashree, Sree Raam, Riythvika, and Ramesh Thilak on screen.
