Release Date For Konkana Sen Sharma Starrer Mumbai Diaries 26/11 Announced

Mumbai Diaries release date: Upcoming web series Mumbai Diaries 26/11 is set to premiere on September 9 to mark the 13th anniversary of the dreadful Mumbai terror attacks. The series pays tribute to the bravery of frontline heroes who put their own lives and wellbeing at risk during the critical situation. The first look of Mumbai Diaries 26/11 was unveiled last year on the 12th anniversary of the attack. Mumbai Diaries 26/11 was due to release in March 2021 back then, however it got postponed later. The teaser of the upcoming series, also released last year, plays out in a hospital and depicts the untold story of doctors, nurses, paramedics and hospital staff, who worked tirelessly to save lives on the night of the attack.

Kal Ho Na Ho famed Nikkhil Advani's web series Mumbai Diaries 26/11 stars Konkona Sensharma, Mohit Raina, Tina Desai and Shreya Dhanwanthary, in significant roles. "Whatever it took, they stood tall and united! (sic)," the streaming platform tweeted on Wednesday. The series is set against the backdrop of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

Going by the glimpse, we understand that the series is based on the struggles of doctors, nurses and paramedic staff who remained on duty as more and more injured kept on coming on the night. Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev actor Mohit Raina plays a doctor who has some tough decisions to make. This is a story of the heroes in white, he wrote on Twitter, sharing how courageous they were in such a crucial moment.

Talking about the show’s theme, Advani said that Mumbaikars often discuss their whereabouts on the fateful night when this devastating incident shook the entire city and that's what he was trying to capture. There have been several shows and films centered on the incident but no one has explored the doctors’ side of it, he claimed explaining how unique his series would be. With this medical drama, the director claimed to portray the human spirit in the face of unprecedented danger and celebrate the brave doctors who had saved the day.
