Harnaaz Sandhu made India proud when she was crowned the Miss Universe 2021. Just like Sandhu, There are many Indian beauty pageant queens who have made India proud by representing the country.

India has given many beauty queens to the world. Sushmita Sen, Priyanka Chopra are a few names among the talented and inspiring actors in the Bollywood industry. While they have made contribution to Bollywood, some of them took this to global level and tried their shot in Hollywood as well.

Indian Beauty Pageants Winners In Hollywood:

Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya Rai was crowned Miss World in 1994. This Indian beauty pageant had given many great movies in Bollywood and bagged many awards. She worked for a Hollywood production for the first time in 2007 with the movie Last Legion. She then went on to star in The Pink Panther 2, Provoked and The Mistress Of Spices. She has also been attending the Cannes Film Festival since 2002 and was also the only Indian jury member at the festival.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra was crowned Miss World in 2000. She had a decorated Bollywood career. She starred in the American series Quantico for its three seasons and garnered praise and fame worldwide as Alex Parrish. She did Hollywood movies like Baywatch, A Kid Like Jake, Isn't It Romantic and We Can Be Heroes. She has featured in Times 100 most influential people in the world and Forbes World's 100 Most Powerful Women. The Indian Beauty Pageant has a great Hollywood career that has just begun to escalate to the heights.

Bipasha Basu

Bipasha Basu is known in the Bollywood industry for playing roles in horror movies like Raaz 3 and Alone and Box Office hits like Dhoom 2, No Entry, Corporate and Omkara. This Indian Beauty Pageant entered the movie industry after winning Godrej Cinthol Supermodel Contest that was organised by Ford. She tried her shot in Hollywood by the 2013 in The Lovers, an English-language romance that was also a time travel adventure film.

Persis Khambatta

Persis was crowned Miss India in 1965 and then went on to play small roles in Hollywood movies like Conduct Unbecoming and The Wilby Conspiracy. Her first big break came when she played Lieutinant Ilia in Star Trek : The Motion Picture in 1979 for which she shaved her head. She then starred in movies like Nightwalks, Megaforce, Warriors In The Lost World and She-Wolves Of The Wasteland.

She returned for a while to Bollywood after she suffered serious injuries in a car crash and did a Hindi movie. Then she returned to Hollywood, starring in guest roles in a few television shows like Mike Hammer and MacGyver. Her last role was in 1993 when she starred in the pilot episode of Lois And Clark : The New Adventures Of Superman.
