The film Janhit Mein Jaari presented a unique plot with Bharuccha as the protagonist, regardless of the fact that it did not perform well at the box office.

The life of a girl in Madhya Pradesh who travels throughout her city selling condoms is the centre of Nushrratt Bharuccha's movie Janhit Mein Jaari. The film chronicles her struggle as she battles her family, her neighbourhood, and obstacles brought on by social taboos. The actress had injuries while the movie was being filmed. Paritosh Tripathi, Shaan Yadav, and Vijay Raaz are also featured in the movie.

Nushrratt Bharuccha stated in a statement regarding directing this social comedy, “I was intrigued with the concept of ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ right from the moment I first heard the one-liner. To be able to speak aloud about such a hush-hush yet crucial matter, and for it to be laced with humour that will appease the family audience and all of this narrated from a female's perspective attracted me to the script. It’s an absolute delight to collaborate with Raaj again and I’m so excited to be part of India's first female franchise backed by Vinod Bhaunshali.”
