• Her father Boney Kapoor is a famous film producer. Her parents got divorced when she was only four years old. Her mother Mona Kapoor passed away on March 25, 2012. She succumbed to cancer.
• She has two half-sisters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.
• She holds a degree in Arts from Barnard College in New York.
• After completing her graduation, she worked for Habitat for Humanity in 2012.
• She also has some experience working on a house-building project in Romania.
