Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after they conducted a raid on a cruise ship in Mumbai. Khan along with Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaaz Merchant are accused of organising a rave party on the ship. The agency had also seized 21 gm of charas, 13 gm of cocaine, 5 gm MD, cash worth ₹1.33 lakh and 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy) from the cruise ship. All the accused persons arrested in the case are charged under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act of 1985.
It has been a week since Aryan Khan and others were arrested in the case. After the court gave judicial custody of 14 days to the accused persons, Khan's lawyer immediately filed an application for interim bail. The plea was heard on Friday this week and Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate RM Nerlikar rejected it.
All the accused persons are currently in Arthur Road Central Jail. At first, the NCB had asked the court for the custody of the accused persons but the court denied it and sent the accused persons to judicial custody. On Saturday a driver of Aryan Khan was summoned by NCB for interrogation. His lawyer, Satish Maneshinde can only apply for bail on Monday until then, all the accused persons will stay in Arthur jail.
