On Thursday afternoon, the recall teaser for Ajay Devgn’s next crime drama Drishyam 2 was released. The film is the sequel to the actor’s 2015 hit and a remake of the Malayalam film of the same name. In addition to retelling the events of the first movie, the Drishyam 2 recall teaser trailer gives audiences a brief, startling preview of what to expect in the sequel.

Drishyam 2 Recall Teaser

The recall teaser begins with an overview of all that happened in Drishyam. The narrative follows Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) and his family as they became involved in the killing of a boy who was blackmailing his daughter (Ishita Dutta). The narrative described how Vijay, his wife (Shriya Saran), and their two children managed to conceal the crime while being pursued by the merciless IG Meera Deshmukh (Tabu), the killed boy’s mother.

After Tabu’s voiceover from the first movie concludes, we see an older, greyer Vijay sitting in a police station, being recorded: “When there are no evidence and leads, confession is the only thing that can solve a crime.” The offended Vijay then declares in Hindi, “This is my confession,” introducing himself as Vijay Salgaonkar.

The film’s teaser was well received by viewers, who appreciated Ajay in particular. One fan said, “Finally the most versatile actor is back in the iconic role,” and another said he skipped the Malayalam original to watch the Hindi remake. The comment stated, “Only because of Ajay Devgan sir, I did not watch the original Drishyam 2, now that part 2 is finally coming, I am so excited for this masterpiece.”

With the addition of Akshaye Khanna, the whole main cast of the original film returns for Drishyam 2, which is directed by Abhishek Pathak. The movie will hit theatres on November 18 and is created by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar.
