Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone will be unveiling the FIFA World Cup trophy in Qatar before the final.

Padukone is expected to fly to Qatar to participate in the event. The 36-year-old is the first actor to receive the honour at the world’s most-watched sporting event. She is expected to unveil the World Cup trophy on December 18 at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Qatar.

The news that Padukone will unveil the World Cup trophy comes months after she represented India at the Cannes Film Festival where she served as a jury member.

Padukone was also recently named as one of the Top 10 Most Beautiful Women In The World, making her the first Indian to get on the list.

The list was made by Dr Julian De Silva, an United Kingdom-based plastic surgeon conducted a computerized test called the “Golden Ration of Beauty”. Actor Deepika Padukone was ranked 9th in the list.

On the work front, Padukone will soon be scene on screen in the film Pathaan, where she will star alongside Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. This film is set to release on January 25, 2023. The first song of the film Besharam Rang reportedly features Khan and Padukone.

The actor will also be seen in the upcoming science fiction film Project K alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Disha Patani. The film is simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi, marking Padukone’s Telugu film debut.

Padukone will also set to appear in the film Fighter alongside Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor. The film helmed by Siddharth Anand is set to become India’s first aerial action thriller film.

Padukone will also be making a cameo appearance in the upcoming Ranveer Singh starrer Cirkus. Padukone and Singh got married in 2018 after dating for almost six years. The actor duo first met on the set of the 2013 film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.
