Candy cast: The teaser of upcoming series Candy, which is being touted to be "amalgamation of suspense, fear, hope, politics, ambition, murder mystery" and a lot more was released today. The 45-second clip released on August 19 also revealed that the OTT series will premier in September.
Directed by Ashish R Shukla, the web series features Masaan actor Richa Chadha and Ronit Roy, known for his performance in films like Udaan and 2 States together in lead roles. While Chadha plays the role of a police officer, Roy will be seen as a teacher in the web series. "The secret's in the candy," Chadha wrote while sharing the gripping teaser on Instagram.
Set in the fictional city of Rudrakund, which is located in the hills, the series teases fans with a series of murders, a dubious candy and more. Candy is produced by Optimystix Entertainment. The teaser is intriguing and promises to keep the viewers on the edge of their seats. As per reports, the series will tell a story with a lot of elements revolving around drugs, political, ambition and murder, and there's surely something to unwrap about candy as the title of the series suggests. Candy cast
Richa Chadha will play the role of a fierce cop who gets entangled in a murder mystery in a hill city Rudrakund. Chadha stated what drew her towards the script was the various dimensions of her role in the show. This thriller and psychological horror space is new for her and playing characters with depth is something that has always interested her. The actor was last seen in Lahore Confidential, where she played the role of a RAW agent.
Joining her in the plot, Roy also gets involved in the story about politics, ambition, and murder. He also shared how lucky he has been to have had the chance to work with so many talented directors which have helped his learning curve tremendously. His last screen outing was 7 Kadam. The actor has Vijay Deverkonda's Liger and Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Shamshera in the pipeline.
It will also star Manu Rishi Chadha and Nakul Sehdev in pivotal roles.
