Bollywood Films On Kashmir

Shraddha Kapoor's upcoming film on Rukhsana Kausar (The film is not titled yet)

Shraddha Kapoor will portray Rukhsana, a Kashmiri girl who killed a Lashkar-E-Taiba (LeT) militant. Young Kashmiri woman Rukhsana Kausar KC shot and injured a LeT terrorist in her home in the Rajouri area of Jammu & Kashmir, and she instantly became a celebrity. On the evening of September 27, 2009, a group of terrorists stormed Rukhsana's home. She and her brother defeated Abu Osama of the LeT, took his AK-47, and shot him, killing him instantly.

The Kashmir Files

A film by Vivek Agnihotri, The Kashmir Files goes back to the history of Kashmiri pandits being tortured and killed in the Kashmir valley. The exodus of the pandits happened is shown from the perspective of a man who tries to uncover the reason for his parent's death and finds out the hard truth of the past. The film features actors like Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty and Darshan Kumar.

Shikara

In the Vidhu Vinod Chopra-directed film Shikara, a Kashmiri pandit couple's love tale takes place during the migration of Kashmiri Pandits. Aadil Khan and Sadia Khateeb acted as the movie's lead actors. Rahul Pandita's book Our Moon Has Blood Clots served as a portion of the movie's inspiration.

Mission Kashmir

Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Hrithik Roshan, and Preity Zinta were among the cast members of Vidhu Vinod Chopra's action drama. The story centres on Altaaf, who loses his entire family when he was a little child due to a police shooting but is adopted by the police head who ordered the killing, set against the backdrop of the Kashmiri uprising. The unresolved childhood difficulties eventually resurface as he becomes older, and when he learns the specifics of the massacre, the results are confusing and severe.

Roja

This Mani Ratnam-directed movie depicts the journey of a Tamil Nadu woman searching for her husband after he is abducted by Kashmiri militants while on an undercover mission. The love between Savitri and Satyavan from the Hindu epic Mahabharata serves as the film's central theme. The movie, which also starred Arvind Swami and Madhoo, was the cinematic debut of music legend A. R. Rahman. It got favourable reviews from critics and went on to win a number of honours, including three National Awards and the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan

A bomb squad officer stationed in Kashmir who is looking for his first love is the centre of the movie. A portion of the movie was filmed in Srinagar, as well as in other locations like Ladakh, Pahalgam, and Gulmarg. Anushka and Shah Rukh's song in the song ">Jiya Re perfectly captures the calming beauty of the valley.
