When Is Bhuvan Bam's Web Series 'Taaza Khabar' Releasing?

The web-series is being made under Bhuvan Bam's banner BB Ki Vines.

Indian comedian Bhuvan Bam, known for his comedy channel on YouTube called BB Ki Vines, is ready to make his OTT acting debut with a web series called Taaza Khabar. The social media celebrity took to Instagram on Friday, to announce the current project, also sharing that its filming has now begun. Taaza Khabar will also feature actors Shriya Pilgaonkar, Deven Bhojani and Prathmesh Parab.

The announcement video for Taaza Khabar opens with a shot of a mother-son duo walking out of a shop. As her son asks her about the difference between a miracle and magic, she replies that magic takes place through deceit and miracles do so through good faith. The camera then pans to a bunch of people reading news as the duo passes by, one of whom is Bam. The newspaper being held by those reading it is tentatively titled Khabardar.

Sharing the promo of his new show, Bam wrote in his post, “With good karma on one’s side, can one man set out to become a master of his own destiny? Meet Vasya from my OTT debut #HotstarSpecials #TaazaKhabar only on @disneyplushotstar. Meet the cast & hop on to this miraculous journey along with Shriya Pilgaonkar, Prathmesh Parab, Deven Bhojani sir & me. Can’t wait to bring this to you soon. .”

Bam had shared a series of photos five weeks ago, along with the script of the show, which hinted that it was being made under the comedian's banner BB Ki Vines. “ “Need your wishes for my OTT debut. Your constant support’s been a boon for me. New stuff this year! #HotstarSpecials #TaazaKhabar,” he had tweeted last month.

With 25 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, Bam known for playing characters like Bhuvan, Banchoddas, Sameer Fuddi, Titu Mama, Bablu, Janki, Mrs Verma, Adrak Baba, Mr Hola, Papa Maakichu, Detective Mangloo, Dr Sehgal and Babli Sir. In April this year, the comedian faced a lot of flak on social media for a video in which he made an inappropriate comment on pahadi women. Following the outrage, Bam offered an apology, revealing that the problematic part of his video, titled Automatic Gaadi, had been removed. Read more about the controversy here.
