Brahmastra’s “Kesariya” song started trending on social media when the makers had shared a glimpse of the song way back in April. While people were anticipating the release of this love song, featuring real-life couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, the reaction of listeners was quite unexpected. While some loves the song, other listeners found it generic. Now, it is two words from the song that are now being bashed by everyone.
The song has rhymed the Hindi word ‘Kesariya’ with English ‘Love Storiya’ or love stories, which has caught the attention of the netizens who have been enjoying a meme-fest since the release of the song. The lyricist of the song Kesariya is Amitabh Bhattacharya and the vocals are by Arijit Singh.
Despite all the trolling the song has been receiving, it has surely amassed huge publicity which has further contributed to the success of the song. In a video which surfaced on the internet, Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji addressed the intense trolling of the song, saying, “the film is a modern film and the lyrics of the song are so traditional and simple, and this would have been a fun twist. I still feel that in some time, people will actually start enjoying it even more.”
