Bell Bottom OTT: After becoming the first big-budget Hindi film to release in cinemas post the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom is now all set to release digitally this week. Besides Kumar, the film also features actors Lara Dutta, Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Adil Hussain in key roles. Lara Dutta was in limelight for her transformation into Late Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

In an interview, Dutta mentioned that it used to take her nearly three hours to transform into Indira Gandhi. The film is directed by Ranjit M Tewari and has been penned by writers Aseem Arrora, Parveez Shaikh.
A spy thriller set in the 80s, Bell Bottom is based on the plane hijacks that took India by storm during the 80s. Kumar plays the role of a RAW agent who helps get the Indian hostages back to India whereas Dutta plays the role of Indira Gandhi who was the prime Minister of our country when the hijacks took place. Vaani Kapoor plays Kumar’s wife while Huma Qureshi also plays a pivotal role in Bell Bottom.
Bell Bottom's Sequel
In an interview, Kumar revealed that there is definitely a scope for a sequel given the way the film comes to an end. He also added that if the makers come up with a good script, things could indeed work out.
Where to watch Bell Bottom
The movie was screened in nearly 225 screens across the country. It will now have a digital release on Prime Video in September.
