Badhaai Do OTT Release Date And Time: Badhaai Do, directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, which was released in theatres on February 11, 2022 will soon be steaming on OTT platforms. The film features Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles.
Rajkumar Rao essays the character of a gay man. Bhumi Pednekar portrays the role of a lesbian. The two enter into a marriage of convenience with the objective of appeasing their parents. The arrangement is called a Lavender marriage.
Lavender Marriage is a concept that dates back to the 20th century. People get into the arrangement to hide their sexual identities from the world. In the movie also, two gay people get married in order to satisfy their families’ expectations and continue to live as roommates. They were, however, involved with their respective love interests.
Bhumpi Pednekar was seen as a PT teacher named Suman Singh in the film. Rao’s character’s name is Shardul and he plays the role of a policeman. The film got mixed reactions from critics. It didn't do very well at the box office. The film managed to earn Rs 28 Crore at the box office. It was made on a budget of Rs 35 Crore.
Besides Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkumar Rao, the star cast of the film also includes Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chaddha, Nitesh Panday and Chum Darang who will play the role of Pednekar’s girlfriend in Badhaai Do. Rajkumar Rao was last seen in Hum Do Humare Do with Kriti Sanon in 2021. Pednekar, on the other hand, acted in Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare.
