Ayushmann Khurrana's 'Anek' To Release On This Day

Anek is a Hindi-language action thriller film written and directed by Anubhav Sinha, who also produced it with T-Series. The lead actors in the film are Ayushmann Khurrana and Amir Hossain Ashik. The actor, through his Instagram, announced the Anek release date today, April 12.

Taking to Instagram, the actor announced the film’s new release date along with a fresh poster. In the poster, the actor is dressed in a military outfit, holding a rifle, and aiming in a battle zone. He wrote, “All set on a mission to unite the nation. Jeetega Kaun? Hindustan! Anek in cinemas on 27th May, 2022 ”

The film was supposed to be released on May 13 when it was first announced, but it has now been pushed to May 27.

The producers, Sinha and Bhushan Kumar, reportedly, opted to postpone the release to prevent a box office conflict with Ranveer Singh's Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The decision, according to Yash Raj Films CEO Akshaye Widhani, will assist both films in obtaining a fair share of audience attention. Kumar's T-Series and Sinha's Benaras Mediaworks collaborated on the film Anek. After the 2019 film Article 15, this is the director's second collaboration with Khurrana.

On March 20, Khurrana posted on Instagram about his wrap from the filming, “It’s a wrap! #Anek is very very special. It’s full of surprises. An untouched subject. A very important new age cinema. Why do I get emotional on the last day of shoot? Coz I will never get to play that character again. I will miss playing Joshua. I will miss North East"

It's reportedly one of Anubhav Sinha's most expensive projects. Apart from that, there isn't much information available regarding the film at this time.
