Judit Polgar

Judit Polgar is from Hungary, regarded as the strongest female chess player of all time. She earned the title of chess Grandmaster at the age of 15, breaking the record of the youngest Grandmaster Bobby Fischer. She was just 12 years old when she entered the FIDE top 100 players rating list, achieving the 55 position. Judit Polgar defeated numerous top male players throughout her career, including multiple World Chess Champions Garry Kasparov, Anatoly Karpov, and Vishwanathan Anand.

Hou Yifan

Yifan began playing chess at the age of six and immediately demonstrated her talent and a deep enthusiasm for the game. In 2006, at 12, Yifan became the youngest female player to qualify for the rank of Grandmaster, beating Polgar's previous record. At the age of 16, Yifan defeated Russia's reigning champion, Alexandra Kosteniuk, to win the Women's World Chess Championship. In 2011, she successfully defended her championship against Indian Grandmaster Humpy Koneru. What distinguishes Yifan from other female players is her decision to compete in open tournaments against top male players regularly.

Kosteniuk is a Russian and Swiss chess player. She started playing chess at five, trained by her father. Kosteniuk was awarded the titles of Women's Grandmaster (WGM) in 2001 and International Grandmaster (GM) in 2004. She went on to compete in several high-level women's chess competitions, including the Women's World Chess Championship. 

Koneru Humpy

Koneru Humpy is a chess prodigy from India and one of the world's strongest female chess players. She was born on March 31, 1987, and showed extraordinary talent from a young age. She rose to prominence as the youngest female Grandmaster at the age of 15. Humpy's chess supremacy includes numerous national and international titles. She won the Women's World Rapid Chess Championship in 2007, demonstrating her versatility in faster time constraints.

Anna Muzychuk

Muzychuk from Ukraine, holds the title of Grandmaster. She has been ranked No. 197 in the world and No. 2 among women. Muzychuk is a three-time world champion in fast chess, having won the Women's World Rapid Chess Championship once in 2014 and the Women's World Blitz Chess Championship twice in 2014 and 2016. Muzychuk belongs to a chess-playing family, where her younger sister is also a well-known chess player and champion, and her parents are coaches.

These players have not only made substantial contributions to the development of women's chess, but they have also successfully battled against male players.
