Zaira Wasim’s portrayal of an aspiring singer in 'Secret Superstar' has stolen hearts in China. Dangal-famed Zaira Wasim plays the protagonist who fights her orthodox father in order to fulfil her dreams. The film proved to be a blockbuster at China's box office.

Sharing the success of Aamir Khan’s latest film as producer and actor, an excited Taran Adarsh tweeted:

This is Khan’s third winning film, after Dangal and PK, which had also garnered profits exceptionally well in the country

Now, the star’s films are making a buzz there, much more than any Chinese films in recent times. The producer had first received unprecedented response for “PK”. Then China opened arms to another blockbuster “Dangal” with a record-breaking number of screens. Now “Secret Superstar” has created another record.

According to critics, Secret Superstar’s opening day numbers exceeded Dangal’s and that it is actually the goodwill of Dangal and PK which has benefited Secret Superstar

Dangal collected a lifetime business of Rs 1,459 crore in China, taking its worldwide total to over Rs 2,000 crore. This tremendous number ensured Dangal a place in the top 5 highest grossing non-English language films of all time list. On the other hand, 'Secret Superstar' has already made Rs 193 crore worldwide. It recently received nine nominations at the Filmfare Awards.

Despite the cold vibes with India right now, China multiplexes helped Aamir Khan's Dangal became India's highest grossing movie worldwide.
