New Update

Despite all the constant hullabaloo regarding feminism, the reality is quite bleak - women are still not considered even to men. It’s quite sad, to realize that 50% of the world does not receive the same privileges as the other 50%, due to reasons which they have no control over - their birth gender. But, we, as the new generation of technologically adept individuals, might have a solution.

“Fight, fight, until they admit you were right” - This is the philosophy when combined with the innate nature of technology, may finally prove the stupidity behind the concept of gender discrimination. In the previous centuries, women were always considered to be less than men and hence were never given the rights which would have helped them and the social progress.

And despite such pressure, we found geniuses like Ada Lovelace fighting her way past. Imagine the number of sharp minds we could have had?

Technology has finally enabled everyone to finally compete on a common stage, something which was not imaginable 100 years ago.

Both women and men can avail access to the same information, at the same time. It doesn’t discriminate between gender or age. All it sees is a human - inquisitive by nature. The very nature of being anonymous on the internet is its sole advantage.

While you might remember, most of our mothers, or grandmothers, are housewives. While it is a very noble profession, and doesn’t get any due credit for the lifetime of effort they put in, many of our own mothers had ambitions themselves. They wished to work, make a name for themselves and create an identity. But the societal norms forced them into just a singular role.

With the advent of technology, jobs are welcoming more women into their workforce. Safety has improved manifolds, and now, many even choose to freelance or work-from-home, making marriage not a burden to their dreams.

It has also allowed us to reach deeper into remote places of the world, where education is non-existent. With the help of the Internet and MOOC’s, learning is now decentralized. Women, in rural areas, now can dream of a future they never knew was possible - thanks to technology.
