Mother of three, Kirsty Bortoft from Scarborough, North Yorkshire, is grabbing headlines for her alleged surreal life-after-death experience. Bortoft, who clinically died for 40 minutes after suffering a cardiac arrest and was put into a medically induced coma, came out and revealed her unique experience of what she saw while she was dead for those 40 minutes. It was in those 40 minutes that the doctors were successfully able to revive her back to life.

The 49-year-old anxiety coach was looking forward to a date night with her fiancé Stu and recalled how her father cooked for her sons so that she could have some private time with her partner unless the plans took some devastating turns when Stu found her "lifeless" and "unresponsive" lying on her sofa soon after.

While sharing her near-death experience Ketty Bortoft talked about how when her partner found her lifeless on the sofa with eyes wide awake, he immediately tried to give her CPR before the first responder used a defibrillator on her as the medics team arrived and tried to save her.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital where her family was told she only had a six percent chance of survival as she suffered from several instances of cardiac arrest and was put into a medically induced coma. However, Bortoft persevered through the critical condition which seemed so worse at a point that her fiancé was told to be prepared for "the end."

Bortoft shared the intensity of the tough days saying, "The first night was crucial, and it wasn't looking good. Stu was told he should prepare for me not making it, but he wasn't having any of it." As her family was preparing for "worst to come" she experienced something "magical" happening to her as she shared her Near Death Experience (NDE).

Recounting the events she experienced while she was unconscious (clinically dead for 40 minutes) she said, "No one at this point knew what was going on apart from my immediate family, but my psychic friend got in touch with my sister and asked what was going on. She said my spirit was in her front room, and I asked her to write lists for my boys and dad. I told my friend that my body was breaking down and I didn't think I could get back into it, but she got stern with me and told me to go back."

After Bortoft woke up she immediately asked for Stu to remember it all and know what she should do to heal as she described it to be like a "download of information" for her healing process and after a few weeks of her NDE, there were no signs of damage in her lungs or heart even after going through a critical medical condition.

However, it's important to remember that NDEs are not universally experienced, and people's accounts can vary greatly. There is no scientific consensus on what causes NDEs, and they are not considered to be proof of an afterlife.
