Details Of The Incident Here

As reported by The Time Of India, the woman, said, "Many passengers had gathered on the aerobridge at Pune airport to have their boarding passes checked before boarding the aircraft around 7 pm on October 21."

She further recalled that it was then a middle-aged man who was behind her, engaged in inappropriate conduct by touching her without consent. She mentioned that two other passengers who observed his actions even inquired if he was accompanying her on the flight. According to the woman, the man appeared to be drunk.

After boarding the flight, she informed one of the cabin crew members about the incident and requested them to contact security and take appropriate action against the alleged accused. "There was still approximately 10 minutes before takeoff," she said.

Another passenger sitting nearby also corroborated the incident.

However, the cabin crew member instructed her to remain seated and assured her that they would address the matter.

After which, the flight departed from Pune and eventually landed in Bengaluru at around 8:10 pm. The woman was left feeling deeply disappointed and frustrated, and upon arrival, she left the airport.

The two other passengers who had witnessed the incident assisted her in obtaining a taxi at the Bengaluru airport. Regrettably, no one from the airline reached out or offered assistance.

Airlines' Statement

An IndiGo airline representative said, "The matter is under investigation." Reportedly, according to the airlines, they are in constant contact with the passenger who filed the complaint and aim to resolve the issue amicably.

However, the woman said that the airline is now offering her all kinds of excuses. She said "They are now providing me with various justifications. However, when I was in dire need of their assistance, they did not extend any help."
