Who is Sunanda Shetty? Actor and entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty and her mother Sunanda Shetty's names have emerged in an alleged case of fraud in Uttar Pradesh.

Lucknow Police is expected to be sending a team to Mumbai to question the mother-daughter duo in the case. In Lucknow, two FIRs have been registered namely at Hazratganj and Vibhuti Khand police stations. Actor Shetty reportedly runs a fitness chain in the city in the capacity of the chairman. Her mother Sunanda is the director of the centre. It is alleged that Shilpa Shetty and her mother Sunanda took money for opening a branch of the fitness centre, however, the promise was not fulfilled. Jyotsna Chauhan has filed the case.

1. Sunanda Shetty is married to Surendra Shetty and together they have two daughters actors Shilpa Shetty and Shamita Shetty.
2. Sunanda Shetty is the producer of the film The Desire: A Journey of a Women.
3. Shetty hails from a Bunt family in Mangalore, Karnataka.
4. Businessman Raj Kundra who is caught in the ongoing pornography case is her son in law.
5. Along with her husband, Surendra Sunanda, she is the owner of a business that manufactures tamper-proof water caps.
6. She is currently facing allegations in a fraud case.
7. The two police stations Hazratganj Police and Vibhuti Khand Police, where the FIRs have been filed have reportedly sent notices for questioning to Shilpa Shetty and her mother Sunanada Shetty.
8. Sunanda Shetty had recently filed a cheating complaint against a person by the name Sudhakar Ghare in a land deal case. The accused, Ghare allegedly (with the help of fake papers) sold Shetty land for Rs 1.6 crores. The case was registered by Mumbai Police.

The Shetty family is currently embroiled in the ongoing Pornography racket case with Raj Kundra being in judicial remand. As per reports around 68 pornographic videos and a film script explicit in sexual content were found on Kundra’s laptop. The Mumbai Sessions Court will hear bail applications of Raj Kundra and his associate Ryan Thorpe on August 10.
