Who is Sudha Reddy? A Hyderabad-based philanthropist represented India at Met Gala 2021. Her outfit, designed by Falguni Shane Peacock was inspired by the American flag.

For 2021, the Met Gala had decided ‘American Independence’ as the theme. The celebrities to attended the gala showed up in designer outfits that represented American style. Sudha Reddy called her outfit the ‘masterpiece of Indian craftmanship’. As per reports, Reddy was the only Indian walking the red carpet the star studded global event in New York.

Who Is Sudha Reddy ?

Director of Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited, Reddy is the wife of billionaire Megha Krishna Reddy. Her outfit was inspired by military which a four-meter metallic train. Her look was styled by Ise White, it was embellished with 3D embellishments of Swarovski crystals, bugle beads and sequins. She was wearing gold stilettos from Chanel and carried a Ganesha clutch designed by Judith Leiber. Reddy paired her look with diamond ear cuffs designed by Farah Khan Ali and sported a top knot hair do.

The Met Gala event was not the first on attended by the philanthropist. According to reports, she has been to many such gatherings due to her social work in areas of children’s health, breast cancer awareness and other such causes. She has been a homemaker, entrepreneur, founder and philanthropist.

While talking to reporters on the red carpet of MET Gala, Reddy said, “The Met Gala has been one of the most aspirational landmark events in the world of style, one that is keenly admired by fashion greats. Monday evening’s intimate gathering was special and memorable.”

She added, “It was an extremely rewarding outing for me as I was able to exchange notes with many notable personalities, some of who are extremely keen to explore socio-economic welfare campaigns in association with the Sudha Reddy Foundation in the future. “
