Who is Nikita Jacob? As authorities focus action against the farmers' protest 'toolkit' shared by Swedish activist Greta Thunberg in early February, Nikita Jacob is the latest name to emerge in connection with the case. This comes following the arrest of 21-year-old Bengaluru-based activist Disha Ravi who was remanded to Delhi Police custody Sunday.

A non-bailable warrant has been issued against Jacob, a lawyer and activist based in Mumbai, for allegedly editing the 'toolkit' document. As per the Delhi Police, Jacob had been in touch with the Poetic Justice Foundation, a Canada-based organisation being probed for the 'toolkit' and alleged 'Khalistani' links. Authorities say Jacob is absconding.

1. Nikita Jacob, a Mumbai-based advocate and activist, has been named in the Thunberg farmers' protest 'toolkit' case for her alleged involvement in the document's contents. A day after Disha Ravi's arrest, Delhi Police has put out a non-bailable warrant for her and another activist named Shantanu.

2. Authorities claim Jacob was involved in the creation and editing of the 'toolkit' document that comprised a "global conspiracy" against India. She was allegedly also in touch with Mo Dhaliwal, the co-founder of PJF, with reports claiming he is an avid supporter of the Sikh separatist movement (also called the Khalistan movement).

3. There was a Zoom meeting the two women activists in the spotlight also allegedly attended prior to the Republic Day on January 26, when some sections of the farmers' protest had turned violent resulting in a clash between protestors and the police.

4. Jacob is allegedly absconding since the 'toolkit' case came to light. As per an ANI report, sources say a Special Cell team visited Jacob's house last week but she was not available for questioning. Her electronic gadgets were, however, examined.

5. As per her social profiles, Jacob is a graduate of Indian Law Society College, Pune. She is an advocate enrolled with the Maharashtra and Goa State Bar Council registered with the Bombay High Court. She specialises in litigation, dispute resolution and advisory work.
