"People treated me differently because I demanded it. And I didn’t settle because I had the strength of my parents standing behind me. But there are so many women out there who don’t have that kind of support and have to do this alone and it is a very difficult journey" -Priyanka Chopra

She went on to talk about harassment she has faced in the film industry. “I have been removed last minute from the movie that I had signed, so that is an abuse of power. Girlfriend of the hero or the director got the role, I couldn’t do anything about it at that time because I didn’t have the power. I was removed last minute many times because I don’t cater to the whims and fancies of powerful men. I cater to my friends, my family and people who respect me.”
