Desi Couple Skis in Saree and Dhoti: US-based Divya and Madhu Maiya are breaking the internet today. They have caught everyone's attention by skiing in a saree and Dhoti.
The Minnesota-based duo recently posted their skiing clips in which Divya can be seen wearing a saree and Madhu donning a dhoti. The couple's skiing video went viral for their traditional ski gear. They took the video in the Welch Village, a popular skiing haunt in Minnesota, USA.
“We needed to do something really crazy today to distract ourselves!” Divya wrote on Instagram and shared the video.
The couple was inspired by fashion blogger Masoom Minawala Mehta. Last month, she shared a video of herself skiing in a saree in Switzerland. Divya and Madhu followed the footstep and ditched the customary skiing gear and switched to traditional attires. They shared a couple of pictures and videos from the skiing adventure on social media.
“My partner in crime for everything silly and stupid. And thank you for all the love pouring in from everywhere for the Skiing in Saree videos,” Divya wrote in another post on Instagram.

The video has managed to garner more than 327k views and over 15k likes. One user wrote, "Love this! Sari and panche (another name for Dhoti) game strong (sic)." Another user commented, "Wow!! This is Beautiful (sic)." Someone wrote, ”You guys are crazy good..made for each other”
While Divya chose to wear a turquoise blue embellished saree, Madhu flaunted a green shirt and dhoti, setting major couple goals.
