American man is identified as Giovanni Vigliotto. Vigliotto married 105 women between 1949 and 1981 and never divorced any of his wives. Due to this, he earned the title of the man with the most bigamous marriages. The Guinness World Records on Twitter shared a video journaling the story of Vigliotto.

US Man Married Over 100 Women

These marriages for Vigliotto were more of scamming women. Every time Vigliotto married, he bore a different identity. Women he met hardly knew each other and even him. He found his potential wives in flea markets. On the first day itself, he used to propose that he met. Every time after the marriage, he flees with his wife’s belongings and sold them at flea markets. The next thing he did was hunt for another victim. Vigliotto married 105 women in 27 different US states and 14 other nations. He is such a big fraud that people are even unsure of Giovanni being his real name.

Sharon Clark was the first woman and Vigliotto’s last victim to take action against him. She tracked him down all by herself. On December 28th, 1981, he was detained. At that time, he age was 53 years old. Vigliotto was charged with bigamy and fraud for stealing from them.

He denied all allegations and in an interview said, “The police are completely wrong about this. I can’t think of a dozen occasions when I had to propose to someone. In every case, the woman proposed.” Vigliotto’s also claimed of being kind to the ladies he married. He also felt sorry for women as the rest of the males don’t treat women the way he does.

During his trial, Giovanni Vigliotto revealed his name to be Nikolai Peruskov. He also disclosed his 50 identities used while engaging in fraud. Vigliotto received a 34-year prison term and a $3,36,000 (Rs 2.75 crore) fine. Vigliotto was imprisoned for the last eight years in an Arizona state prison. Later, died in 1991 from a brain haemorrhage at age 61.
