This came after Owaisi made remarks against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and crimes against women in India.

The AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, "As per a report, one out of nine female children dies before the age of five years in India. There are atrocities and crimes against women here. But, they (Centre) are worried about what is happening to women in Afghanistan. Isn’t it happening here."

Karandlaje in her response to Owaisi said, "It is better to send Owaisi to Afghanistan to protect their women and their community.”

Owaisi also said that Pakistan, which had allegedly provided the Taliban with logistics, arms and medical aid, has "gained the most" from the crisis going on in the country. The Islamist extremist group gained control over the country of Afghanistan on August 15.

He also added that ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) which is a Pakistani agency is the enemy of India. He further said that Al Qaeda and Daesh, which are the terror groups that the UN has warned the world about, have acquired reached certain areas of Afghanistan. Owaisi then said, "You must remember that ISI controls the Taliban and uses it like a puppet."

Asaduddin Owaisi talking about the post-poll violence that erupted in West Bengal, said that there is a need for "need for investigation." He also said that the people who were a part of the violence 'acted like Talibanis'. He added that their workers should get justice. The West Bengal post-poll violence case has now been handed to the CBI which will conduct a court-monitored inquiry.

The Taliban spokesperson has said in his statement that the Taliban will provide Afghan women with the right to work and education under Islamic Law. Read more about it here.
