Cash, Jewellery, Weapons Stolen From Sonali Phogat’s House

Theft Sonali Phogat House: Unidentified persons stole cash, jewellery, licensed revolvers, and cartridges from the residence of BJP leader Sonali Phogat’s house in Sant Nagar, Delhi.

In her police complaint, Phogat mentioned that she locked her house and left for Chandigarh on February 9. After returning on Monday, she noticed the lock of her residence was broken. On entering the house, she found Rs 10 lakh, gold and silver jewellery, watches, a licensed revolver, and eight cartridges were missing. On receiving information, a police team reached the spot and started an investigation.

Additionally, she also mentioned that her residence was CCTV protected but the thieves took away the DVR from the house. However, Phogat suspects more items missing, and will submit a list of missing items after checking all household items.

The actor and TV show contestant Sonali Phogat came into the limelight after a controversy in June 2020. Phogat was seen hitting Balsamand market secretary Sultan Singh with a slipper. The video of this incident became viral. She then claimed that it was Singh who used explicit language against her.

Recently, she made an appearance on the TV reality show Bigg Boss 14. In January 2021, she received backlash on social media after she threw used food boxes on the bed of another contestant Nikki Tamboli. In retaliation, Taboli called Phogat’s actions disrespectful towards food, a view that was echoed by many viewers. Shortly, she was again in the news after she was seen abusing contestant Rubina Dilaik. Her argument with Dilaik again earned Phogat flak on social media. Read more about it here.
