Following the Prime Minister's announcement UK's Health secretary also announced that he also tested positive. The Prime Minister is self-isolating himself but will carry on with leading the fight against the virus.

Boris Johnson who is a British politician and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom tested positive for Coronavirus. This announcement was made on Friday that is on March 27th. The British Prime Minister is currently isolating himself. He took to twitter to disclose this information to the world and to his people. Boris also added that "Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus."

The Prime Minister said that he will be self- isolating himself but will continue to lead the government in the fight against Coronavirus through video conferencing and other digital resources. Boris Johnson, 55, developed mild symptoms on Thursday and now is isolating himself for seven days on Downing Street. In his video, he also said that "that's entirely the right thing to do."

The latest government reports showed that 181 people died with COVID-19 in a day. The actual number of people with respiratory infection in the UK is assumed to be much higher. More than 93,000 people have been tested for COVID-19 but were found not to have it.

Mr. Hancock who is the Health Secretary of the United Kingdom also announced being tested positive for Coronavirus following the announcement of Boris Johnson. Hancock said that he will be self-isolating himself till next Thursday that is till April 2nd. Although he will continue working and have been in contact with all the political figures and cabinet ministers.

Nadine Dorris 

Nadine Dorris, MP and the Health Minister has also been diagnosed with Coronavirus. The Health Minister showed the symptoms on the same day that she attended an event hosted by the Prime Minister. She also is currently practicing self-isolation.

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau

Sophie, the wife of Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, has also contracted Coronavirus and has tested positive for the same. She tested positive for COVID-19 on March 13 and she and her husband began their 14 day quarantine period separately.
