15-Year-Old Stabbed Woman To Death Over Water Tap Dispute In Delhi

On Friday morning, a quarrel erupted between a 34-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl and her mother, over filling water from a common tap in Delhi's Farsh Bazar area in Shahadara. As the verbal spat escalated, the 34-year-old woman allegedly twisted the hand of the 15-year-old girl, due to which she had to be taken to the hospital, where an X-ray of the teenager's hand was conducted and the girl was treated non-Medico Legal Case (MLC).

After returning home from the hospital by evening, the teenager and her mother resumed the argument that was cooled down in the morning after the deceased woman's drunk husband returned home and started cussing the family of the minor girl, as per the police.

The minor girl and her mother engaged in an altercation with the neighbours next door and as the quarrel began, during the heat of the moment, the minor girl picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed her neighbour in the stomach while also stabbing her multiple times in her left hand, said DCP of Shahadara Police Station Surendra Chaudhary.

Police around 11 p.m., police received a frantic call from a man saying his wife had been stabbed in the stomach and was lying unconscious on the floor. Prompting on the PCR call by the injured woman's husband, the police rushed the woman to the hospital, where she was pronounced "brought dead".
