Shocking: 25-Year-Old Woman Stoned To Death in Maharashtra's Kalyan

In a shocking incident, a young woman was stoned to death in Maharashtra's Kalyan area in broad daylight. She was 25 years old.

The woman has been identified as Laxmi Mohite, some locals had brought the body to the notice of Khadakpada police. The police suspect her husband to be the perpetrator. The cops reached the site where the body was found and sent it for post mortem to Rukminibai hospital.

The Police have further revealed that the woman lived in the Sawad village area in Bhiwandi, a city under the Thane district of the state. She used to work as a domestic helper in the Gandhari area of Kalyan West.

Senior police inspector of Khadakpada police station, Ashok Pawar, said, that they suspect that Laxmi was killed by her husband Jarnadan Mohite. Jarnadan is missing since the incident came to light. Several teams have been formed to nab him.

Other Such Incidents

Earlier, in May this year in Kalyan, an autorickshaw driver was stoned to death by a group of seven people and the video of the act went viral on social media.

In June, a 26-year-old man in the Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh was allegedly killed by his former girlfriend. The girl had stoned the man to death as the deceased had threatened to show a private video of her to her family members.

Recently, a 21-year-old woman’s body was found in Surajkund, an area located close to the Badarpur area of Haryana and is not very far away from the National Capital. Several injuries had been inflicted on the body with a sharp object and there were several stab wounds. A man who has identified himself as the woman’s husband has confessed to the crime. The man reportedly told the cops that he suspected her infidelity and acted in a fit of rage.
