Shefali Shah, Jim Sarbh, and Vir Das have earned nominations for the prestigious 2023 International Emmy Awards, a recognition bestowed by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Shefali Shah has been nominated in the category of Best Performance by an Actress for her outstanding work in the second season of the highly acclaimed Netflix series. 


This is a notable achievement given that the first season of the series, titled Delhi Crime, had previously secured the International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series in 2020, marking a historic milestone for Indian television. Delhi Crime, appreciated worldwide, highlights Shefali Shah's capability to choose narratives that carry a powerful social message, transcending geographical boundaries.

Nominated For 'Best Performance By An Actress' Category 

In the Best Performance by an Actress category, Shah's performance stands alongside remarkable talents worldwide. Her fellow nominees include Connie Nielsen for her role in the Danish series Drommeren, Billie Piper for her portrayal in the British show I Hate Suzie Too, and Karla Souza for her exceptional work in the Mexican series La Caida.

Shah is currently garnering praise for her recently released Three of Us, directed by the renowned Avinash Arun. The film narrates the touching story of Shailaja Desai (played by Shefali Shah), a former Mumbai high court clerk who confronts the challenges of a degenerative brain disease gradually erasing her past. The movie delves into her brave journey to revisit her childhood memories, guided by her childhood friend and sweetheart, Pradip Kamat (portrayed by Jaideep Ahlawat).


The film's team unveiled the trailer for Three of Us, an emotionally charged drama centred on relationships, against the captivating backdrop of Maharashtra's Konkan region.
