Renowned actress Rubina Dilaik, now a mother to twin baby girls, Edhaa and Jeeva, has been transparently talking about her journey through motherhood, and highlighting the challenges that come along the way. In her YouTube podcast series 'Kisi Ne Bataya Nahi', Dilaik opened up about her struggles with insomnia and the emotional toll of caring for her infants. "There was a time when I reached a breaking point. I would wake up at odd hours, feeling overwhelmed and in tears," she revealed, describing how her constant worry for her daughters' well-being disrupted her sleep patterns, ultimately leading to a mental breakdown.

The Sleep Deprivation Dilemma

Rubina, like many new parents, found herself grappling with the profound exhaustion brought on by sleepless nights. She recounted moments of sheer desperation, where sleep seemed elusive, and tears were a constant companion. "I can't sleep at night," she confessed, highligting the intensity of her struggle. The toll it took on her mental health was palpable, with Rubina admitting to experiencing a complete breakdown.

Rubina welcomed her twin daughters, Edhaa and Jeeva, along with her husband, Abhinav Shukla, last November. The pair have been consistent in posting about their newborn since then. But the journey to motherhood hasn't been all smooth for Rubina. While conversing with fellow new mother and television actor Debina Bonnerjee, Rubina admitted that her insomnia got bad to the point where her husband had to force her to sleep in another room so that she could rest. Let's do this," he suggested. "I sleep with one daughter. Mom will take another daughter to another room. You sleep in a separate room." She also mentioned how he would ask her to let their family help them care for the children.
