The entrepreneur who has a net worth of 38,700 crores is ranked number 33 on the list of the top 100 billionaires. She is now the richest self-made Indian woman on the list, surpassing Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw.

The data showed that Nykaa, the flagship business of Nayar and her family that produces beauty and wellness items, increased by 345 per cent in the previous year to report a net worth of 38,700 crores. In the all-time list, which is headed by Gautam Adani, who has a net worth of more than $10 lakh crore, she experienced a rank increase from 169 to 33.

Rekha Jhunjhunwala, the 59-year-old wife of the late stock investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, comes in second place with a net worth of $37,200 crore. Smita V. Crishna of Godrej (32,000 crores), Radha Vembu of Zoho Corporation (30,500 crores), Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, the founder of Biocon (24,800 crores), and others are among the other women on the list.

With an increase in wealth of 30,000 crores, Nayar rose to the fifth rank and was one of the top 10 gainers. She is the only female on this list, which also includes people like Cyrus Poonawalla, Mukesh Ambani, and Gautam Adani.

Falguni Nayar is ranked second among gainers in terms of percentage, with a 345 per cent increase in wealth. The richest person on the list is Vedant Fashions' Ravi Modi, whose wealth increased by 376%.

According to Hurun India, the cumulative wealth of the billionaires increased to $100 billion for the first time since the rich lists' creation, surpassing the combined GDPs of Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. Over the past year, Gautam Adani made 1,600 crores every day, overtaking Mukesh Ambani to become the richest Indian for the first time.
