Actor Rebel Wilson shared via her Instagram account that she had received some bad news regarding fertility.
In the caption, Rebel Wilson wrote that “I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share with.” She then said that “To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya”. In the comment section of the post, people voiced their support for the actor and shared their own struggles with fertility.
While Wilson did not elaborate on the bad news or her struggles with fertility, she has spoken about fertility before.
Wilson had revealed in 2020 that she had been diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) in the past. Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a hormonal disorder that can cause weight gain and make reproduction difficult. While PCOS has no cure as of now, treatment may include lifestyle changes such as weight loss and exercise. For people struggling with infertility due to lack of ovulation, PCOS is the most common cause.
In an interview, Wilson spoke about POCS and said that “It’s just a hormone imbalance” She added that people usually gained a lot of weight and said that was “how it manifested in me.” In an Instagram live, Wilson spoke about fertility and said that it factored into her fitness journey in 2020, “The Year of Health”. She said that “I was thinking about fertility and having good quality eggs in the bank.” Due to this, she decided to get healthy.
