Following the accident, both families, including the groom’s father, Shivlal Rathore, and the bride’s brother, discussed how to proceed with the wedding. The groom, Pankaj Rathore, a resident of Bhavpura, Ramganjmandi, expressed his desire to wed Madhu in the hospital. The family members discussed this and decided that the wedding would take place in the hospital.

Pankaj’s brother-in-law, Rakesh Rathore, a resident of Kota, booked a room in a cottage and decorated it. The wedding rituals were performed there, and the groom himself wheeled the bride in a wheelchair from the ward to the Mandap.

All the rituals of a traditional wedding, consisting of the garland ceremony, the mangalsutra, the vermillion ceremony, etc., took place. However, the seven rounds around the fire could not be performed as the bride could not walk.
