The controversial statements by Prince Harry and actor Meghan Markle had shaken the Royal household. Ever since the couple's interview with Oprah Winfrey which went viral all over the internet, disagreements between the couple and household have been publicly visible.

Barring these awkward instances, Prince Harry and his wife Markle, on April 13, met with Queen Elizabeth II. The information on the visit was informed by the spokesperson to The Sun newspaper.

The unnamed spokesperson also said that the two stopped in the United Kingdom while making their way to The Hague, for attending the Invictus Games. They also said that Harry had previously expressed the desire to meet his grandmother. The reason could also be the Queen's recent brush with illness.

Apart from face-to-face interaction with the Queen, the couple also met Prince Charles during their visit to Windsor Castle, making it their first joint trip after the couple quit the royal duties in March 2020. Post which, he had moved to the United States with Markle. They were unable to attend the memorial service of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh and grandfather of Harry. Prince Philip died last year in April.

Harry had visited the unveiling of the Princess Diana memorial last summer but has not been back in the country with Markle and his children. Even this time, reportedly they did not bring their children. This visit came after Harry's row with the the royal family and he alleged that his wife and children are not safe there.

During the Winfrey show, the couple talked about the racist remarks that were made on the colour of their children, amongst other many controversial tidbits. Harry, in his relationship with his 73-year-old father reportedly said how he and his brother are "trapped" in their royal duties.

Queen Elizabeth will turn 96 years old later this month. She has been suffering from mobility issues and could not attend the annual Maundy Service at Windsor Castle's St George's Chapel yesterday. Also, she will be unable to attend the Easter Sunday Service.
