Actor Taapsee Pannu came out to support her friend, Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap with an Instagram post amidst the allegations by Payal Ghosh that Kashyap ‘forced himself” on her. Pannu took to social media to say, “For you, my friend , are the biggest feminist I know. See you on the sets soon of yet another piece of art that shows how powerful and significant women are in the world you create :)”

In the last 24 hours Telugu actor Payal Ghosh tweeted that Kashyap had forced himself on her and she made an appeal to the Prime Minister to help her in this respect. In response to Payal Ghosh’s tweet, the National Commission for Women asked for an official complaint.

Pannu came out to support Kashyap via social media in the light of Ghosh’s comments. She said that #MeToo was a serious movement and that women had taken years to have the opportunity to finally be heard. She tweeted, “This power of calling out n being heard has come to us after years of struggle n suppression. But with great power comes greater responsibility. Misusing it , will send us years back into being ignored n over run.”

On Sept 19th actor Payal Ghosh, who has acted in Telugu, Kannada and some Hindi films came out to tweet that director of Anurag Kashyap had behaved inappropriately with her. In the below mentioned tweet, she said, “let the country see the demon behind this creative guy.”
