In the face of COVID-19, aged people and people with co-morbidities are considered most vulnerable. However, in a miracle, an Odisha-based couple - 85-year-old Surendra Pati and 78-year-old Sabitri - recently recovered from the deadly viral infection and got discharged from a hospital in Cuttack. Hailing from Kendrapara district, Surendra, who also has throat cancer, was receiving chemotherapy at the Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre from June 8. He contracted the virus first and Sabitri his wife, who was attending to him at the hospital, was later declared COVID-19 positive too. They were then shifted to a COVID-19 hospital in the city where the two went through further treatment and were discharged on July 17, Times of India reported.
