Noor Mukaddam Murder Case: Noor Mukadam, the daughter of a former Pakistani diplomat, Shaukat Mukadam, was found dead at her residence in Islamabad on Tuesday night.

1. According to the investigating officer, the diplomat's daughter was allegedly shot and then slaughtered by a man named Zahir Jaffer.

2. The 27-year-old was found dead in the capital's upscale Sector F-7/4 area on Tuesday, as per reports

3. According to the FIR, she was allegedly brutally murdered with a sharp-edged weapon and (was) beheaded.

4. Zahir Jaffer is allegedly involved in the murder and was arrested on the spot and taken to the police station.

5. Geo News reported that Islamabad police have registered a case against the accused and an investigation is underway.

6. According to Islamad Police, Jaffer is said to be the son of the chief executive officer of a leading construction company in Islamabad.

7. According to some reports, Mukadam broke up with Zahir. This could have been a major reason behind her murder, as per officials.

8. Reportedly she went to the accused's house on Tuesday and may not have been in contact with her father since Tuesday morning.

Since many people on social media were sharing unverified information about Mukadam's death, actor Osman Khalid Butt tweeted, "I cannot believe this bears saying, but please stop sharing unverified, unsubstantiated details about the murder: the causes, the aftermath," he tweeted on Friday, adding "especially if they're by anonymous sources".

This horrifying incident has surfaced days after the daughter of the Afghanistan ambassador to Pakistan was allegedly abducted and severely tortured on her way home. Silsila Alikhil was hospitalised and had swellings over several parts of her body. The 27-year-old woman had gone missing on Friday around 2:30 pm near Rana Market. Read more about the case here.
