Neena Pacholke: Wisconsin Morning Anchor Dead By Suspected Suicide

A Wisconsin morning news presenter and former college basketball player died on 27 August, Saturday. The death is suspected to be a suicide case. Neena Pacholke, a 27-year-old WAOW anchor, was noted for her infectious grin and upbeat personality. The news of her passing shocked the family, friends, and coworkers.

"Neena Pacholke, our cherished morning anchor, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday. The entire team here at News 9 is devastated by the loss, as we know so many others are as well. Neena loved this community and the people who lived here. “She was a kind person with a big heart and a contagious smile and we will miss her greatly," a statement from 9 WAOW read. 

Pacholke's sister Kaitlynn Pacholke claimed that she was engaged to be married, as per Tampa Bay Times report

Gordon noted in the tweet- We are not positive because life is easy. We are positive because life can be hard. Give yourself (and others) grace. Speak life and encourage others. Look for the good today. Remember your why. Believe the best is yet to come.” In tributes, News 9 and Pacholke's co-anchor also mentioned Pacholke's grin and upbeat demeanour.

Pacholke's co-anchor Brendan Mackey said, "She was the brightest light in the room with the “biggest smile and the funniest laugh.”

“I have never met anyone in my entire life that is more loved than this girl. Every day she made people smile, whether that was through a tv screen or just being an incredible friend. She was so happy and so full of life and a role model." Mackey wrote in a tribute post on Facebook.

According to her website, Pacholke began working for the news organisation in May 2017, as a multimedia journalist before being elevated to anchor in February 2019. She earned a degree from the University of South Florida, where she played point guard for three seasons and earned letters. The USF women's basketball team's head coach, Jose Fernandez was devastated by Pacholke's passing news.
