MP Woman Allegedly Axes Husband To Death Over Extramarital Affair

A Madhya Pradesh-based woman allegedly axed her husband to death inside their home at a factory in Gujarat, suspecting him of having an extramarital affair.

According to the police, Kali Damor attacked her husband Arjun Damor with an axe five to six times during a heated argument inside their quarters in the labourers’ colony in Shiv Industries, near Wankaner town in Morbi district, on Thursday around 3 am.

The man had succumbed to the injuries and died at 4 am on Friday while undergoing treatment at Rajkot Civil Hospital. The police said that the woman didn’t run away after attacking her, and they were in the process of detaining her.

The man was rushed to a government hospital in Morbi town, where he was referred to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Government Hospital, also known as Rajkot Covil Hospital.

The police revealed that the couple had only been married for the past four months and had shifted to Gujarat just five days ago.

The police have booked a case against Kali based on the complaint from Arjun’s father, Sumsinh Damor, who claimed he was sleeping inside a truck parked outside the factory premises when the incident happened.

He alleged that a relative who was staying inside the factory woke him up around 3 am on Thursday, saying the Kali had attacked Arjun with an axe. When the father rushed to the spot, he found his son Arjun lying in a pool of blood while Kali was standing near him. Sumsinh Damor also added that the axe Kali had used to attack Arjun was lying in the quarters.

According to Sumsinh Damor’s statement, Kali reportedly told him about the fight between them over a phone call. As the situation escalated, an enraged Arjun charged towards them to beat Kali, and in the heat of the moment, she grabbed an axe lying on the floor and attacked Arjun with it.

The police stated that the family hailed from Naldi Badi village in the Jabua district of Madhya Pradesh. The family had moved to Gujarat to work as labourers through Kali’s cousin, Aju Bhuria, who was already working at Shiv Industries.
