Minister of State for School Education (Independent Charge) and General Administration Shri Inder Singh Parmar said that Madhya Pradesh Board will announce the decision of Class 12 examinations in the first week of June. The examinations were postponed in view of the increase in Covid-19 cases.

The statement said that there will be no change in the examination system and will be conducted in the old pattern if the conditions are favourable.

Parmar also requested Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to prioritise vaccination as a safety measure for the teachers falling into the age group 18-45 years. He also requested to view measures to start the vaccination of students in his statement.

“Necessary decision will be taken regarding the conduct of class 12 examination. While deciding, the health and safety of the candidates will be given top priority,” He said.

Parmar attended the meeting held by the Education Ministry on May 23 to discuss Class 12 Board examinations and entrance exams. All state boards and CBSE and ICSE boards have postponed class 12 exams in view of COVID-19.

The state governments and union territories have to provide suggestions in writing by May 25 about the class 12 exams. Based on this input, the central government will take an appropriate decision in the interest of all students.

CBSE Board will announce examination dates and mode of examination for class 12 exams 2021 on June 1. The CBSE has proposed examinations from July 15 to August 26. The result will be declared in September. Students can check the date sheet as soon as the dates are announced on the official CBSE website.

Some states like Delhi, Jharkhand and Maharashtra have criticised centre’s decision to conduct Class 12 exams.

As per official data, 14,30,247 students will be appearing for class 12 examination in 2021.
